Travel to the Highlands in Our Debut Novel!

Dear Reader,

We’re almost at the end of October, which means Halloween is fast approaching!

Did you know that trick-or-treating (or “guising”, as it’s more traditionally called here) originated in Scotland and Ireland? Check out the Wikipedia article!

After Halloween, it’s not long at all until 7 November, which—if you’ve not heard—is the date we’ll be releasing our debut novel, The Highland Kiss!

The eBook is already available to pre-order on Amazon, and if you have Kindle Unlimited, you’ll be able to read it for free with your subscription.

As for the paperback, it’ll be available to order from Amazon on release day (once again, that’s 7 November!). You’ll also be able to grab it from various other online retailers, such as Barnes & Noble and Waterstones.

We’re both really excited about finally sharing this story with you. We can’t wait to welcome you to Bannock, our fictional town in the Scottish Highlands.

The Enchanted Forest

This weekend, we’re going on a fun trip north to the beautiful town of Pitlochry (a place that bears a few striking similarities to Bannock!).

Each year in October, Faskally Woods, which is situated just outside of Pitlochry, is transformed into the “Enchanted Forest”. There’s a spectacular sound and light show to explore, plus snack stands with hot chocolate, marshmallows, and lots of other yummy things.

We went last year and loved it, and we’re super excited about going back. We’ll no doubt be putting some photos up on social media, so be sure to check us out on Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook!

Scotland in the News

While we’re very used to the wind and rain in Scotland(!), it’s not often we experience extreme weather. When Storm Babet hit earlier this month, it brought with it scenes not normally seen here, as the BBC sums up in this 60-second video.

And a spooky one for Halloween: a clown dressed as Pennywise from Stephen King’s It (eek!) has been making regular appearances around the village of Skelmorlie, including leaving games for its residents to play.

xx,

Amy and Gavin
