Celebrate Scottish Romance this St Andrew's Day

Dear Reader,

Happy St Andrew’s Day! Today we’re celebrating all things Scotland—its traditions, history, and the unique charm of the Highlands that we hope you’ve come to love in our stories.

St Andrew’s Day (the celebration of Scotland’s patron saint) always reminds us why we love writing contemporary romances set in this beautiful corner of the world. And speaking of romance, we’ve got something special for you today—a sneak peek at The Highland Game! Get ready for a glimpse of Jamie McIntyre like you’ve never seen him before.

Below you’ll find some character art as well as a reveal of the tropes that you can expect to find in book four of the True Scotsman series.

Of course, while we’re celebrating St Andrews Day here in Scotland, we’re aware that in other parts of the world, Thanksgiving was recently celebrated. A (belated) Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrated it!

The Highland Game

Here are the tropes for The Highland Game:

Gamer romance, enemies to lovers, mental health rep, sweet + spicy, You've Got Mail vibes, a real Highland Games

The male main character is Jamie McIntyre, who you may remember for his cheeky comments and risqué jokes in books one to three:

An attractive man with chestnut hair, stubble, and a check shirt

And the female main character is Maisie Kerr, who works in the local pub, the Pheasant:

A woman with blue hair in a dark hoodie and torn jeans

The eBook of The Highland Game is available for pre-order, and the paperback will be available to order from release on January, 14.

Scotland in the News

Folk in Edinburgh welcomed winter with the Samhuinn Fire Festival (there are some good photos in the article!).

The beautiful island of Eilean Mor is up for sale, if anyone fancies their own bit of Scotland.

Skinny dippers bared all(!) at Loch Ness during the Loch and Land Festival.

Xandria, a German band that Gavin enjoys listening to (they sing in English!), have released a new song and music video inspired by Outlander and the Highlands.
